For example, we created a beautiful keepsake box for a newborn baby girl in European Beech lined with baby pink suede. A smaller box was included inside, also made from beech, with an African Blackwood lid. Both boxes were decorated with Mother of Pearl. A matching blackwood border surrounded the main lid. The brass hinges, lock and key complement the box wonderfully and a silky smooth finish added a perfect effect to the wood.

Another great example would be of a box we created for a young man as a gift for his birthday. His initials were placed on the lid top using black veneer for the writing. The initials were inlaid on a Ripple Sycamore background and bordered with a black veneer. Rich black suede lined the interior and sectioned tray, which was also created from Sycamore. This box was used to keep his most personal possessions safely and elegantly in his bedroom.
